Chili Luncheon

The Youth Group is offering a Chili luncheon on Sunday, April 13, directly following Sunday worship. Adults $5 and Children $3. All proceeds will go to Relay for Life.

Strawberry Festival

Saturday, April 26

The Oakland congregation is sponsoring a booth at the annual Greater Cleveland Chamber of Commerce Strawberry Festival on Saturday, April 26. This is an opportunity to inform others about the people and ministries of Oakland. Informational brochures will be available plus raffle tickets to benefit the Golfing for Jessica fundraiser.

Relay for Life

Friday and Saturday, May 30-31

Oakland will sponsor two Relay for Life teams for this year's event--a Youth Team and an Adult Team. This is a one-day, one-night, community-wide event designed to spread awareness of cancer prevention, celebrate survivors, and provide funding for research, cancer treatments and cures. A time is designated to pay tribute to those who have lost the fight. Another time is set aside to honor the survivors of this dread disease.

Golfing for Jessica Tournament

Saturday, June 7

Oakland volunteers have begun planning for the 14th year of sponsoring a tournament to benefit Jessica Williams. Jessica and her family are members of Oakland. The funds raised through the tournament and a raffle are directed toward her transportation needs, the purchase, upkeep, maintenance, and repair of a specially equipped van for her use.
